Honor the life and legacy of the late Mike Winters, often called "the heart and soul of The Capitol Theatre," with a benefit concert featuring Dead Meat and Grateful BRO at Garcia's on Sunday, April 16. Commemorating his birthday and marking the 5th year since his passing, the event will be a celebration of Mike's many contributions and unlimited devotion to The Capitol Theatre and Garcia's, and his love for music that started with Frank Zappa at the age of 12 and continued with his passion for bands like the Grateful Dead and the Allman Brothers Band. Join Cap and Garcia's staff, Mike's friends and family, and local bands Grateful Bro and Dead Meat as they pay tribute to Mike's memory with music and raise funds for SongCatchers, a music community organization that brings music into children’s lives, fostering a lifelong appreciation for the arts. WITH THE GOLD OF SUNSHINE serves as a heartwarming tribute and celebration of Mike’s wise guidance, love of music, and generosity of spirit. By gathering to enjoy his favorite songs and come together as a community, we will unite to make a difference in the lives of others, just as Mike made a difference in ours.
