FAQ

Unless an event is explicitly labeled as permitting “All Ages,” The Capitol Theatre does not permit children under the age of 8 years to attend shows, and those between the ages of 8 and 17 (inclusive) years are not permitted unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Everyone must have a ticket, and parents/guardians must remain with, and be responsible for, their under-age children at all times. All shows at Garcia’s at The Capitol Theatre are 21 and older only unless explicitly identified as “All Ages.” No exceptions. Please check the event page for your specific show for more information prior to your purchase of tickets, or contact the box office at (914)937-4126 or boxoffice@thecapitoltheatre.com.

The Capitol Theatre allows fans to take memorable photos and videos for their personal social media or to show friends and family, but the use of live streaming is not permitted during any part of events.

What is your refund policy?

Generally, refunds or exchanges are not permitted for any tickets purchased unless the headliner cancels. If a support act cancels, there are no refunds. Please do not purchase a ticket unless you are sure that you want to see the headliner no matter who the support act is.

Can my ticket be scanned from my phone?

Yes! As long as the screen isn’t cracked, your tickets can most likely be scanned from your phone. Just make sure to zoom in on the bar codes and turn the brightness all the way up on your device. However, be certain to have your Ticketmaster order number as backup in case the bar code is unscannable.

Once inside, can I leave the theater and come back?

Sorry, in-and-out privileges are not permitted.

What/Where are Loge seats at The Capitol Theatre?

The term Loge refers to the very front of the balcony, in front of the walkway. At The Capitol Theatre, the Loge consists of three rows (AA, BB and CC). These three rows have the most legroom, and we think they are the best seats in the house! Please take a look at the seating chart for more detail.

What is the VIP Platform?

The VIP Platform is a raised platform located directly behind the soundboard on the main floor of the theater. There are usually two rows of seats: Row A has 10 chairs (101-110) and Row B has 12 chairs (101-112). These rows have extra legroom and typically have cocktail service. For many concerts, the entire VIP Platform can be rented out for private parties with two rows of seating, or we can remove the chairs, and you can fit 40 people with tabling for optional catering. This is a great way to keep your group together for a general admission concert. Please call us for details regarding any specific show, or e-mail events@thecapitoltheatre.com.

What are SkyBoxes?

The Cap’s new SkyBoxes provide a small private space (enclosed by railings) at the rear corners of the balcony. Seating is on a curved banquette that accommodates five people with plenty of room to dance. Waitress service is included.

Are shows at The Capitol Theatre general admission or seated?

Both! The Capitol Theatre accommodates fully seated shows as well as shows that have general admission on the Orchestra (ground) floor. In some instances, at the discretion of management, chairs may be placed on the general admission floor. Access to those are first-come, first-served. Tickets sold as standing room only (SRO) give access to the standing area behind the Orchestra floor.

All shows at Garcia’s at The Capitol Theatre are general admission.

Is The Capitol Theatre ADA accessible? How can I purchase tickets for disabled patrons?

Yes. The Capitol Theatre is accessible to customers with disabilities. The Orchestra (ground) floor is accessible by wheelchair, and the venue has multiple ADA accessible restrooms and drinking fountains.

Please note that to assure the full enjoyment (and unobstructed sight-lines) of everyone in the Orchestra's ADA section we respectfully urge all patrons in this section to remain seated during the performance.

ADA patrons need to hold ADA tickets to be seated in the ADA section. You can purchase wheelchair accessible tickets through Ticketmaster or in person at our box office. If you have specific questions, call our box office.

What is a Presidential Booth at The Cap? What access does it provide?

There are six elite Presidential Booths at The Capitol Theatre. Each booth contains either four or six seats together, perfect for a small group. For most events, the booths have a dedicated cocktail waitress. Access to these seats is usually limited to band and house VIPs, but occasionally these seats are offered for sale. Please check with the box office if you have questions about availability.

Is there a coat check?

Yes, coats and bags can be checked in the theater’s second lobby, just inside the second set of glass doors. Cost is $4 per item, but please arrive early as coat check often fills up.
