The Field Service:
The Field Service is a five-peice American rock band based in the Hudson Valley of New York. Combining various personal influences, the Field Service pays homage to classic American sounds in a new context. Live performance is where the Field Service runs best, combining songwriting and improvisational pieces in ways inconceivable, indescribable, and at some times downright unconstitutional.

Imagine for a second, frolicking through a field of mangrove and mountain laurel, only stopping to find out you've lost your tracks amongst the moss. After hours of searching, and as daylight fades into dusk, you grow weary and tired. A sense of dread comes as the night casts over every leaf, crack and crevice in the newly lush forest around you. You begin to get rabid, much like an animal of the deep. Thoughts are properly replaced with morbid instincts and delusional curiosity. Flesh and bone melt away into pure unconsciousness. At that very instant, you hear a clicking sound faintly echoing through the shrubs. That sound is accompanied by a loud thud, and another. You hear a voice out in the ether, launching into a new rendition of 'Trailblazer'. Wow. It's all come full circle. You follow the noise to find out you weren't very far from civilization after all. More importantly, you realize how fast a human can divulge back into their instinctual minds and become a true animal again in absence of technology and security. That feeling?
