An exciting mix of special guests and Wetlands Preserve veterans joined headliner moe. at The Capitol Theatre for the kick off celebration of the Wetlands 25th Anniversary Celebration on Friday, Feb. 7. The musicians joined forces to honor the Cap owner Peter Shapiro's Tribeca Wetlands venue that enjoyed a solid 13-year run from 1989 until it closed in 2001.

moe. opened with crowd-pleaser "New York City" and then "Y.O.Y," before special guest Nate Wilson of Percy Hill joined them on stage for "Nebraska." Next, several members of Jimmy Herring's new project The Ringers sat in for various songs. Wayne Krantz joined the band for “Blue Jeans Pizza," Michael Landau joined for "Plane Crash" and Herring for "Buster."

The musicians ended the set with The Grateful Dead's "Sugaree," with an appearance by Reid Genauer, (Strangefolk, Assembly of Dust) who was a regular headliner at Wetlands, Wilson, Herring, Scott Murawski (Max Creek) and John Leccese (Percy Hill).

Genauer, Wilson, Murawski and Leccese joined the band to open the second set with "Mexico." Then Herring joined the stage for a performance of "Speculator," a Strangefolk song. Murawski, Genauer, Leceese and Wilson alternated on stage for the rest of the second set until Wilson, Genauer and Murawski ended the celebration with The Band's "Up On Cripple Creek."
