A new experience at Garcia's!

October at Garcia's at The Cap is the beginning of a new era for our beloved lobby bar. This month will include performances from up-and-coming indie/alternative bands, local rock bands, a 1980s tribute night, and two very different circus variety shows.

"Vinyl is Dead" a Pop-Up Record Store on Thursday, October 15 and Thursday, October 22

Crate diggers will be in vinyl heaven when "Vinyl is Dead" features new and used records for the browsing and buying.

On October 15, Rocky and The Pressers is a seven piece reggae band from The Bronx, New York. Their musical style is deeply rooted in reggae rhythms and lyrics. Hailing from Brazil, Fire Department Club mixes rock guitar and synth-heavy keys. Opening the night is Cousin Earth, a band whose large sound comes from tiny instruments like the ukulele and melodica. This night will have no shortage of excitement.

October 22 will have a completely different lineup that includes live painter, Gabriel Camacho, and local DJs. Juan Eclass and DJ Blowout will spin anything from the 80s to disco to old-school hip-hop.

The Ronald Reagans Big '80s Show on Friday, October 16

Calling all children of the 1980s! We're celebrating the most colorful decade in music with big hair, big costumes, and an even bigger display of talent. Known for their dance floor rockin' party performances, The Ronald Reagans Big '80s Show has shared the stage with legends like Jimmy Buffet, and rocked the house for celebrity chefs like Guy Fieri. This Friday, grab your legwarmers and tease your hair because it's time to dance with somebody!

107.1 The Peak's Halloween Party featuring Regret the Hour and Cedear Blue on Tuesday, October 27

The Peak's Halloween Party features local indie rock bands Regret the Hour and Cedar Blue. Both bands displayed their talent during our recent Battle of the Bands and now they are back to rock us on a spectacularly spook-tacular night. Costumes are encourages and there will be priazes! This event is 18+.

Garcia's Halloween Kickoff Party on Thursday, October 29

We're opening a busy Halloween weekend with our own kickoff party. Back for more, Coney Island Circus Sideshow will put on dynamic performances of burlesque, sword swallowing, human blockhead, daring escapes, and old fashioned hoochie koochie.

Music will be provded by The Mindstream and Lizzie & the Makers. Having been called an energetic Pink Floyd, The Mindstream's sound includes heavy tribal rhythms, running bass lines, and keyboard chaos. Lizzie & the Makers is a female-fronted blues-rock band that promises a deeply gripping evening of music.
