Downstate Darlings:
Downstate Darlings are an alt/pop/rock band hailing from the Empire State, calling both NYC and Westchester their home. Drawing its main inspiration from the golden era of modern rock, the band's sound merges the crunch of early 90's DGC records with the melodic sensibilities of earlier New Wave-rs like Elvis Costello, Joe Jackson and Squeeze, all while bringing its unique and eclectic sense of groove to the table. The band comprises old friends who first met while cutting their respective teeth on the NYC indie scene through a variety of other bands and acts: Chris Abad (Vox, Guitar), Jamie Alegre (Drums), Dan Golden (Keys), Tony Maceli (Bass), and Paul Maddison (Guitar)
