Striven is a hard rock band from Westchester, NY & CT featuring:

Greg Capra (Rhythm/Lead Guitar & Vocals)
    Conor O’Leary (Drums)
    Steve Riccio (Bass)

Established in 2011, they have remained true to their grunge-rock and heavy metal roots. The focus of Striven is to retain that style while also producing a new sound for a modern audience. The word striven means to struggle in opposition, to push through the boundaries of adversity and reach a desired goal. This is the reason why this band refers to itself as striven, as the band strives to push beyond the tests of life.

    Striven's main influences include:
Alice In Chains, Black Label Society, Faith No More, and Megadeth, to name a few.
Westchester county based hard rock band Valence, takes instrumental prog to new heights through their flirtations with modern metal and eclectic compositions. They’re a breath of fresh air for anyone tired of music formulated to fit into a box, and longs for an unadulterated form of sonic expression. The band won an Independent Music Award for “The Reckoning,” off of their 2014 EP, Laser Baron, the follow up to their debut Sleepwalker. Sea of Tranquility wrote, “If you love some of the acrobatic, complex, and heavy material of current acts like Scale the Summit, Between the Buried & Me, and Animals as Leaders, this is a band you need to check out.” Metal Injection included Valence in their end of 2015 list “10 MORE Awesome Underground Bands You Need In Your Life!”

Between the awards and rave reviews, the band has developed a reputation as a crushing force in the north east, tri-state and the southern New York music scenes, playing music festivals including NXNE, the official after-parties for Dream Theater, Clutch and The Sword, as well as opening for acts such as Consider the Source, Stu Hamm, Felix Martin, The Fine Constant, and Angel Vivaldi and Scale the Summit.

Bassist WilHelmus.! joined the band in Spring 2016, bringing new elements to the band's writing and performance as they toured the North East. They recently released their single "He Tried To Kill Me With a Forklift" premiered by MetalUnderground, and had a banger of a release party at Garcia's at the Capitol Theatre on August 18, 2017. A couple months later they released the music video, premiered by Decibel Magazine on October 27, 2017. They are currently finishing with pre-production and will be heading back into the studio in March to record their next full length album. Check out their official website for more updates! Valence is Michael Buonanno (gtr), Geoffrey Schaefer (gtr), Chris Romano (drms) and WilHelmus.! (bass).
    Rise To Burn
    Rise To Burn
New York based thrash act Rise To Burn formed in 2014 when founding members Tom Tulotta (The Judas Syndrome, Leech), Joe Sacco (Leech), and Scott McAloon (Hellbound) recruited guitarist and vocalist Will Checchi (No Remission) to join forces in creating a special brand of heavy music. The resulting sound combined blistering speed riffs, relentless lead work and harmonies, crushing vocals, and lightning fast drumming with a great sense of song writing. In 2015, guitarist Scott McAloon bowed out of the band respectfully and was replaced by Anthony Narvaez (Consume The Sun). With the new line-up now complete, Rise To Burn is ready to unleash the fires of hell with their first LP, "Baptize The Nightmare", due out early next year. From The Bronx to Westchester County, these NY shred addicts are all geared up and ready to RISE!
