    Rock The Cure
Join us at Garcia's on September 26th for our 2nd annual Rock the Cure: A Benefit for The American Cancer Society! Last year was so successful but cancer is, unfortunately, still taking lives and destroying families.
Stand up for the fight against cancer and come #RocktheCure!
We have Coach from 107.1 The Peak hosting, music provided by Lizzie & The Makers and Stella Blue's Band, and tons of great items to be auctioned off! Raffle items include fine jewelry, gift certificates to a variety of restaurants, concert tickets and so much more!
A portion of the proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society and a portion will go directly to a family in need. Eddie and his wife Maureen have been together since they were teenagers, and are about to celebrate 20 years together! They have 2 children, one who is going to be a college freshman in the fall and the other a sophomore in high school. In March of this year, Eddie was diagnosed with Stage IV Non-Hodgkins Follicular Lymphoma. Since then, his extensive chemo treatment has kept him out of work. On September 5th, Eddie goes to have Stem Cell Transplant Surgery, a complex and painful procedure, in hopes of eradicating the cancer and reducing his risk of relapse. He'll be in the hospital for a month and homebound for recovery for months after that. This is a good family that has supported and donated to every fundraiser we've held in the past. Now it's time to give back to them in their time of need.
So open your hearts and join us for a guaranteed good time, all for an amazing cause!

    Lizzie and The Makers
    Lizzie and The Makers
Lizzie & The Makers is a hard rock psychedelic soul and blues band based in Brooklyn, New York. Dark and soulful lead vocals and lyrics by Lizzie Edwardsand original arrangements by Greg McMullen (Chris Whitley, Speedbuggy, Glenn Branca) combine the hard rock, and psychedelic soul of musicians like Freddie King, Sharon Jones, Led Zeppelin, PJ Harvey and Pink Floyd.

“Lizzie & the Makers are one of one of New York’s most distinctive, exhilarating bands. They jam, but they keep their solos short and spot-on, usually two or maybe three bars at the most. Their inspirations are classic Chicago blues and southern soul, but they also have a psychedelic side: they’re closer to Robert Cray – with a charismatic woman out in front of the band – or Led Zep than, say, Amy Winehouse. Intense frontwoman Lizzie Edwards might not only be the best blue-eyed soul singer in New York: she might be the best blue-eyed soul singer anywhere.” – NY Music Daily

    Stella Blue's Band
Stella Blue's Band is a band on a mission. Attracting both talented musicians and kind folks, a project born out of love for the music, and jamming for fun, has blossomed into a force to be reckoned with in the Tri-State area’s Grateful Dead tribute band scene.

To explore their own unique improvisational sensibilities while staying faithful to the style of the Grateful Dead, in search of that special musical alchemy that results when the whole is greater than the sum of it’s parts. Playing the music we love, and loving doing it for a kind loving community who come to Groove, Dance and Rage to the Good Ole Grateful Dead!
