    Talay
    Talay
Talay has been playing iconic New York City venues since she was 16, winning over fans with her clever lyrics and infectious on-stage persona. Often drawing comparisons to 90's favorites like Weezer, No Doubt, and Alanis Morisette, Talay's punchy power-pop tunes tell painfully relatable stories of friends, family, lovers, and losers. In June 2017, Talay released her self-titled EP produced by Greg Mayo (Delta Rae, Bernhoft) and Zach Jones (Sting, A Great Big World) and mixed by Ducky Carlisle (Demi Lovato, Rooney).

    Emily Angell
The Upset is a collection of original songs by singer/songwriter Emily Angell. Known for her “appealing voice and smart songwriting” (Women of Substance Radio), Emily combines alternative rock and folk influences with her love of top 40. Her musicianship derives from a childhood spent listening to everything from her mom's cassette tapes of Amy Grant and Sandi Patty, to her dad's Beatles and Jethro Tull records; subsequently, her style has both evolved from these diverse roots and become infused with a grit and soul that are hers alone. Each tune on the EP is acoustic, and the overall vibe has been described by many as emotionally raw and absolutely ear-catching. Emily’s music is inspired by love, tragedy, politics, and heartbreak – but above all, the understanding that someone, somewhere, has got to be experiencing the same convictions.

Originally hailing from a small town outside of Binghamton, New York, Emily is the daughter of a public school music teacher and an electrical engineer. With respect to these roots, she came to New York in 2004 to study music and recording at the City College of New York’s Sonic Arts Center. Emily now stands out as one of the new breed of women singer-songwriters who also know their way around a recording studio as mix engineer, mastering engineer, and producer. Co-writes include “Can You Handle This?” with DJ Disciple on Catch 22 Records, and “Let It Shine” with Serchlight recording artist Sneakas for the 2009 Maccabi games in Israel. Emily has also been very involved with Songs of Love, a non-profit organization dedicated to writing and recording songs for terminally ill children. She currently lives in New York City with her sister.
