The Capitol Theatre would like to wish Bob Dylan a very happy birthday! On September 4, 2012, Dylan, one of the most influential singer-songwriters, and renowned cultural icons in music, christened our newly renovated theater. Almost 5 years later, in a beautiful twist of fate that will come full circle, Dylan will return to The Cap and perform 3 nights, marking our 500th show on June 15. A message from Peter Shapiro:

“We booked Bob Dylan for our first show in 2012, and have worked since that magical opening night to get him back to the Capitol,” said The Capitol Theatre’s owner, Peter Shapiro. “We know it's a venue that he loves so we kept at it. We were thrilled to get 3 nights. It's the kind of run that historic shows come out of. And when we booked the show we didn't even realize that it would be our 500th show since Bob played on night one. it just happened that way -- and that’s the magic of The Capitol Theatre.”
