Sponge has proven to be one of the Motor City's heaviest hitters after gaining international notoriety with their debut album "Rotting Piñata” (Sony). Emerging from Detroit with hits like "Plowed" and "Molly (16 Candles)" Sponge received massive airplay on radio stations from coast to coast and were in heavy rotation on MTV. Both “Plowed” and “Molly” hit #5 on Billboard’s Modern Rock Charts, catapulting “Rotting Piñata” to Gold, and ultimately Platinum status.

Sponge's follow up CD, the critically lauded “Wax Ecstatic” (Columbia) scored additional top ten Billboard hits including "Wax Ecstatic" and "Have You Seen Mary?" The band’s music was also featured in popular movies “The Craft,” “Chasing Amy,” “Mall Rats” and “Empire Records.” Sponge’s star continued to rise with network appearances on “The Late Show with David Letterman” and the “Conan O’Brien Show.”

Sponge’s subsequent releases “New Pop Sunday,” “For All The Drugs in The World,” “The Man,” “Galore Galore,” and “Destroy the Boy,” showcased the band’s swirling sonic attack, rooted in 70's glam and of course, the Motor City influences of The Stooges, The MC5 and Motown-but still sounding distinctly like no one else.

“Plowed” continues to be the band’s signature rock track, having been spotlighted on Guitar Hero’s “Warriors of Rock – 90’s Rock Track Pack” – and on the Paper Jamz Guitar Series 2, in addition to the soundtrack for the Gerard Butler surf movie “Chasing Mavericks.”

    Set The Charge
“Set The Charge … at their heart they are an alternative rock band with progressive and electronic elements, think Muse, Coheed and 30STM jamming to some Queen and you'll be able to get a clearer picture of their sound.” -MusipediaOfMetal

Set The Charge, an original four-piece band, from Westchester, New York, had largely been a studio project until early 2014 when founding members, Frank and Anthony Valbiro, connected with Derek Ortiz and Tom DiCarlucci.

In 2015, Set the Charge released their first E.P., Auditory Insemination. Drawing influence from favorite eras and genre of music, Set The Charge’s sound is as much of an homage to the past as it is a dive into the future and contemporary—and their craft is even further refined with their September 2017 release, Sky Goes On. In conjunction with this release, the band’s accompanying music video of Everything But Me has been received with an astounding number of positive reviews.

Some of the band's recent appearances include Trash Bar, Fat Baby, The Bitter End, Garcia's at The Capitol Theatre, The Bowery Electric, Webster Hall, and more. In June 2015, Set The Charge was the subject of AXS TV's “Breaking Band” series, paired up with Rock 'n Roll Hall of Famer, Robin Zander, of Cheap Trick (air date – 2/14/16). Other appearances include NYC's StreamCon, a well-received performance at VidCon 2016, and even bigger plans in place for 2018 and beyond.

    Mishti
MISHTI, a singer-songwriter-guitarist with the lyricism of Jeff Buckley and the badassness of Slash demands the ear of any listener with her fresh take on post-pop rock music. While finishing touches of her debut EP (produced by Cyndi Lauper’s guitarist Alex Nolan) are fine-tuned, Mishti continues to write songs for the unrequited and fantasize the next performance: “I want to create music that transforms people’s moods the same way music I love transforms mine... and changes my life in those 4 minutes… and then ‘replay’.”
