    Magic Beans
    Magic Beans
Magic Beans (Scott Hachey, Casey Russell, Chris Duffy and Cody Wales) have steadily built upon their national notoriety in a very short period of time with a passion for music that is as infectious as their songs. Hailing from Denver, their development has been aided by the warm hearth of the Colorado music scene, and quickly setting themselves apart from the pack as one of the state’s premier acts. Their new album, “Casino Cabaret”, is titled in homage to the vintage sign that hangs above Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom located in the Five Points area of Denver. The venue has served as the heart beat of the Denver music scene for decades under different monikers. Its a place where the legends of jazz, soul, and funk found a common stage, and inspired the Magic Beans to craft an album capturing the different styles and genres that can be heard any given night down in Five Points. With “Casino Cabaret”, the band looks to bring the heart, the vibes, and the feelings of those Denver nights coast to coast.

Holing up in the foothills of Colorado at Scanhope Sound studios, the band looked to build upon their past studio experiences and hone in on the new sound they’ve been building since their last release. Taking the time to make these songs come to life, adding some brass to their already full sound, and dialing in the tones on analog equipment they found ways to add layers to the songs in a way not possible to achieve live. From the album opener “Here On Out” - featuring the saxophone of Clark Smith (Dynohunter), trumpet of Matt Wilkolak (Michal Menert & Big Gigantic), and rounded out by percussion from frequent collaborator, Will Trask, the band puts forward a full and accessible sound. True to form, the Beans even included some studio interludes taken from recording jam sessions to help tease those moments on the road where the band will lift off and take the songs for a ride.

With appearances in 2018 at some of the scenes marquee festivals, a stacked touring schedule and hosting their own Beanstalk Music Festival every June in Colorado, Magic Beans are poised to bust out across the scene and make waves for many years to come.
    The Jauntee
    The Jauntee
In a world filled with instant gratification, gimmicky over saturation and a lack of true improvisation, The Jauntee pays tribute to music’s ability to transcend simple entertainment and cultivate a truly distinctive experience. The Jauntee has fostered a musical community based on a breadth of original material that engages fans through nightly exploration and risk taking. Averaging over one hundred shows a year, with each containing a unique set list and their own special improvisational moments, the band is constantly expanding upon what defines them and their live performances.

With almost a decade’s worth of touring experience; appearances at major festivals such as Peach Fest, Catskill Chill, and Resonance; and 36 states toured with stops at national touring staples such as Brooklyn Bowl, Georgia Theatre, and the Paradise Rock Club, The Jauntee have been nurturing a fanbase of dedicated followers who are inspired by their music and willing to travel to see what the band has in store next. Fans that thoroughly analyze their music, track their set lists and passionately promote their music. The Jauntee makes each night an exciting prospect of a new shared experience with bust-outs, fresh jamming, poignant covers, and accessible songwriting.

Their latest live album “ALWAYS NEVER KNOWING” is a quintessential selection of live works from the band’s 2017 two-night-run at The Bridge Sound & Stage in their hometown of Cambridge, MA. It features 16 tracks that were professionally recorded, mixed, and mastered by sound engineer Alex Allinson. It showcases the band’s masterful playing and inspiring ability to take their original music and create something uniquely theirs night after night. It also features nine previously unreleased tracks that have quickly become staples of their live show. Experience the band in their purest element, pushing the boundaries of their sound while sharing that trip with their fans.
    Cycles
    Cycles
Cycles epitomize the power-trio format with ripping guitar, fat bass grooves played out through furious slapping, and dynamic drum beats flowing over intricate tempo changes. Each member wields a unique take on their instrument that when played together, forms a truly fresh and cohesive sound. Patrick Harvey commands the guitar with speed and precision reminiscent of Jimmy Herring while using his loop pedal virtually as its own instrument, a skill unique only to him. Michael Wood has subtly forged a drum style that showcases his rare ability to mashup funky hip-hop beats with frenzied rock riffs and only displays flashy technique when necessary while implementing the creative use of various sound-modulating drum triggers. At the heart of the band lies Tucker McClung’s dominant slap-bass chops that captivates audiences and pumps the musical blood through the band.

The current incarnation of the ever-developing sound of Cycles reveals itself today as a staggering display of seemingly innocuous lyrics over purposeful compositions that only begin to mean more with time. Screaming peaks and balanced grooves find their way out of the chaos of a jam while samples ripped from anything between Prince, Missy Elliott, Chris Farley and Mortal Kombat movie quotes (and much more) ring out in the mix adding to the multicolored blend of sound filling a room and often standing out as comedic elements of the show. Drawing influence from artists such as Rage Against the Machine, J. Dilla, Primus, Weather Report, and many more, Cycles fuse an eclectic blend of genres to produce an original sound that has become harder and harder to find. Although only a few years old, Cycles have over 250 shows under their belt with tours extending across the entire U.S. A heavy touring schedule keeps them on their toes while providing the inspiration to continue to write and always strive to play better. Look out for their name soon on a festival schedule in your hands or a club marquee playing with your favorite bands.
