    High Waisted
    High Waisted
Quirky 60's garage rock is re-imagined from the nose of a surfboard, making High Waisted feel like a psychedelic lullaby. NYC surf rockers with pop sensibilities and an affliction for rock and roll. They’ve been called NME Magazine’s “buzz band to watch,” declared “the ultimate party band” by GQ and have received praise from Consequence of Sound, Noisey, and Paste. With their sophomore album underway, the band released an interactive 360 degree music video for their track "Hey Hey" in collaboration with Refinery29, performed a live session at Nylon Magazine, as well as a stripped down set for Sofar Sounds. Their debut album, “On Ludlow” was recorded at Dreamland Studio in Woodstock, NY, with renowned producer Bryan Pugh. The group spent most of 2016 touring the country, playing both Riot Fest in Chicago and Denver as well as supporting such acts as Har Mar Superstar, Diarrhea Planet, La Sera, Jessica Hernandez, and La Luz. Dye also performs with The Hold Steady. High Waisted were declared one of the buzziest bands at SXSW 2017 and currently are on tour supporting a split 7” (Little Dickman Records) featuring The Coax. Every show is a party when High Waisted’s lo-fi fuzzy bass, reverb drenched guitars and radiant harmonies mesh to create the melodies of your wave-crashed daydreams.

“Audio-visually speaking, you couldn’t ask for more from the Internet.” Noisey/Vice

“If you’re looking for boring, same-same music, look away now… I keep picturing Mighty Boosh scenes when I listen through Fascinator’s back catalog…bound to remind listeners of Gorillaz’ marching beats and hazy sampling…” Indie Shuffle

“What’s fascinator? is that your live sex show?” Matt Coyte, Rolling Stone

“A lushly put together blend of synths, swooshes, slowed down beats and has a grandeur that something made this way shouldn’t be able to manage.” The Sound of Confusion
    Echo Station
    Echo Station
Echo Station is not about an image. Echo Station is about 3 chords and fuzz guitars. Echo Station is about sweet melodies and beer soaked nights. Echo Station is about Rock and Roll.

According to the writers at Productshopnyc.com, “This band is all about rock n' roll. Some bands work on their image when they should be working on hooks. They got the swing of Whiskeytown and the rock of The Figgs.” The members of Echo Station shared the same musical vision: To make rock music that would leave even the most casual listener wanting more. Echo Station’s intense and passionate live performances assaulted the New York City club circuit with highly successful shows at Mercury Lounge, Piano's, Garcia’s @ The Capitol Theatre, Don Hill’s, and Arlene Grocery. Since then, Echo Station has continued to bring their energetic live show to the masses by playing over 300+ shows all over the northeast.

In the summer of 2006, Echo Station won the “Let’s Go Steady, Debbie!” songwriting contest, sponsored by author Marc Spitz, Random House, Product Shop NYC, and Three Rivers Press. Judges included Marc Spitz, James Iha (ex-Smashing Pumpkins), Andy Greenwald (SPIN, author of Nothing Feels Good, Miss Misery), Chuck Klosterman (SPIN, author of Killing Yourself to Live), Alan Light (former editor-in-chief of Vibe, Spin, and Tracks, author of The Skills to Pay the Bills ) Sia Michel (former SPIN magazine editor-in-chief), Jason Gordon (Productshopnyc.com), Mary Huhn (New York Post) and Sarah "Ultragrrrl" Lewitinn. For winning the contest, Echo Station received a distribution deal with ProductshopNYC for their "Let's Go Steady Debbie EP". They were also invited to perform as part of the CMJ festivalalong with the Horrors and the Thermals.

In 2010, Let’s Go Steady Debbie paid dividends again when Echo Station won first prize for the Get Out Of The Garage Music Contest, sponsored by Converse, Journeys & Guitar Center. Let’s Go Steady Debbie was featured on the 2010 copy of the Get Out of the Garage compilation CD.
