On Tuesday, May 31, The Strokes return to The Capitol Theatre two years after their sold-out performance of the same date in 2014.

Fans who witnessed that blistering performance may fondly recall that it was the band's first show since late-2011. The 18-song setlist had the crowd singing and dancing their hearts out.
This year, with Governors Ball right around the corner, we’re going to do it all over again with one of the best rock bands in the musical universe, The Strokes!

The Strokes are one of those bands that you need to experience live. Make sure you get your tickets early, as we expect this show to sell out! Tickets go on sale Friday, May 27 at 12PM.

Earlier this spring, Mexico City quartet, Rey Pila, announced their sophomore album, The Future Sugar, for a May, 5th release via Cult Records.

When label boss, Julian Casablancas, heard new material that the band had been working on this winter, he made a compelling case that the new songs should be included on the album. The band responded to his enthusiasm in agreement, and plans were quickly made to have Julian produce three new songs with the band in New York to be added to a revised version of The Future Sugar.

In late 2012 Rey Pila's current line up of Diego Solorzano, Rodrigo Blanco, Andres Velasco and Miguel Hernandez moved to New York City to record The Future Sugar with producer Chris Coady (Beach House/Wavves/Smith Westerns). Some months later, the album unexpectedly caught the attention of Casablancas, when he heard the song, "Alexander", blasting from the speakers of an office he was visiting. Plans were quickly made to release the song as a single on Cult Records, along with the amazing video that premiered on Noisey, calling it "a synth-rock jam that sits comfortably between Gary Numan, Bowie, and Q Lazzarus. It's sexily understated and they rock live."
