The Capitol Theatre is proud to be home to the first-annual Tri-State Rocks benefit show. Tri-State Rocks is a benefit vocal competition and performance, perfect for both aspiring artists and audience members interested in an evening of entertainment and supporting local charitable organizations. All proceeds from the event will support Kids In Crisis, ArtWorks, and Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital, a member of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth).

The event will take place at The Capitol Theatre on Sunday, December 3 at 5:30PM, with doors opening at 4:45PM for a pre-show with local DJs the Vargas Brothers. VIP tickets are also available and include a pre-show reception + meet-and-greet with the judges and host from 3:30 – 5:00 PM.

The competition is for anyone between the ages of 12 to 21 who resides in Connecticut, New York, or New Jersey. Judges include former American Idol judge and Grammy-nominated hit-maker, Kara DioGuardi, head of A&R at Atlantic Records, Pete Ganbarg, and Leslie Stifelman, Music Director and Conductor of the award-winning Broadway hit musical, Chicago. Tri-State Rocks is presented by Inspired Nation, a non-profit that fosters young talent, builds community, and raises money and awareness for local youth-oriented charities. The event is sponsored by WMCHealth, iHeartRadio, Moffly Media, Westchester Magazine, and the NAMM Foundation. Inspired Nation is sponsored by Atlantic Records, the Berklee College of Music, Universal Music Group, Arthouse Entertainment, iHeartRadio, and BMI.

For more information on the event and how to enter the competition, please visit the Tri-State Rocks website.

In 2016, Inspired Nation launched its pilot event, New England Sings, during which contestants performed live and competed for a mentoring session with Kara DioGuardi at Converse Studios in Boston, cash prizes, and summer session scholarships at the Berklee College of Music. New England Sings was a spectacular community event, showcasing fifteen talented vocalists and raising money for five New England charities by selling out the historic Ogunquit Playhouse in Ogunquit, Maine. Tri-State Rocks will follow a similar format, showcasing ten vocalists with all proceeds benefiting youth-oriented charities in the tri-state area.
